Angelica started Mötley Zoo in 2015.
She dreamed of being a veterinarian and grew up with her own ‘Motley Zoo’ of rescue animals. At 18 she started volunteering with the Toronto Humane Society and the Toronto Cat Rescue and quickly realized that while vet medicine wasn’t for her, she definitely wanted to spend her life working with animals.
She brings almost 20 years of animal handler experience to Motley Zoo and is our go to walker and boarder for building relationships with nervous and reactive dogs, specializing in rescues and building their confidence. Angelica has taken many dog training classes and seminars focusing on puppies, rescues, reactive dogs and their body language.
She is currently enrolled in the Educanine dog trainer mentorship program and has a passion for training with positive reinforcement and force free methods.
Angelica has fostered several cats and dogs and has a small ‘Zoo’ of her own. Wednesday, a 13 year old one eyed Boston Terrier, Spock, a 4 year old Great Dane mix, as well as a Bacon a “foster fail” rescue from Boston Terrier Rescue Canada.
